Fundraising

Windsor Educational Trust (WET)

The Windsor Educational Trust was established in 1993, as a way of putting back something into the community in appreciation for the help and support received following its move from Windsor to Telford. Since that time, as Windsor Life has expanded steadily, so has its desire to re-invest into the community of which it is a part. Initially the Trust sponsored computer-based projects organised within local schools. Over the years it has widened its criteria and now supports a wide variety of schemes, ranging from gardening and playground projects to dance and drama sound systems.

All schools within the Telford and Wrekin catchment area are invited to submit bids to the Trust annually. The applications are considered by the Trustees, who look for ideas where the benefits can be clearly identified and where they feel the school will match the Trust's donation with its own fund raising and enthusiasm.

Since 1993 the Trust has donated more than £334,000 to local schools.
